Kevin Wood FPFS
Kevin is a founding Director of Watson Wood Financial Planning. A Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Financial Society, he also holds the Certified Financial Planner award through the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Kevin is one of the most qualified Planners in the North of Scotland, and part of an elite group of Planners in the UK who have both these qualifications.
After studying Economics at University, Kevin worked for various financial institutions in Edinburgh for 14 years before relocating back to Nairn to bring up his young family in 2010. He was Director of Financial Planning for a local family IFA before setting up Watson Wood.
As well as being a Chartered Planner for Watson Wood FP, Kevin has been actively involved in the regional branch of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
When working with clients, Kevin will be personally involved in putting in place a Financial Plan that helps them achieve their personal goals – using his experience and technical knowledge to find the best solutions for each client individually.
Kevin is married with a young daughter and has even managed to find the time to take up golf again.

Kirsty Watson APFS
Kirsty is also a founding Director of Watson Wood Financial Planning. She is one of a very small number of females in the UK who holds both the Chartered Financial Planning and Certified Financial Planner qualifications through the Chartered Insurance Institute and Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Kirsty began working in Financial Services straight from school and has studied to gain her qualifications whilst working and ‘learning on the job’. Over the last eighteen years, she has worked in various roles for local financial planning firms in Moray. Latterly as a Chartered Financial Planner at a local family IFA.
After a career break to bring up her three young sons, Kirsty has enjoyed the challenge of coming back to Financial Planning in the last few years and finds it very satisfying to help clients to meet their goals. She enjoys meeting with and talking to new people, as well as continuing to assist long standing clients.
Kirsty lives just outside Elgin with her husband and with looking after 3 boys she enjoys running in her spare time as well.

Allan Sillars
Allan is the other founding Director at the firm. He spent 25 years with the Royal Bank of Scotland in various Management and Client facing roles. In 2013 he left to join a local family IFA, as Director for Operations & Business Development.
He was also a founding Director and Chair of the Social Enterprises New Start Highland Ltd and Highlands & Islands Business Finance Ltd. These experiences have given Allan a wide range of skills to assist with the smooth running of the firm.
Allan is responsible for Finance, Marketing, Office and IT functions, allowing Kevin & Kirsty to focus on using their experience and technical knowledge to find the right outcomes for each client.
Allan lives in Inverness with his wife and 3 children. Unfortunately he has found out that his interests are whatever his family are wanting to do.

Martyn Percival Chartered FCSI DipPFS
Martyn is a Chartered Financial Planner at Watson Wood Financial Planning. He holds the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning with the Chartered Insurance Institute. He is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and holds their Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.
After studying Applied Economics at University, Martyn worked for various investment houses in the North West of England for 8 years before relocating to Inverness in 2014. He was a Financial Planner with a National IFA before joining Watson Wood.
Martyn enjoys working closely with clients and getting to know them. He believes knowing his clients is crucial in ensuring he develops the right Financial Plan that helps them achieve their goals.
Away from work, Martyn is married with two young children and enjoys the occasional round of golf – when he can find the time!

Kirsty Innes DipPFS
Kirsty graduated from Glasgow University with a degree in Public Policy & Politics and joined the firm in August 2017. Based in our Inverness office, she is now our Paraplanner after achieving the Diploma in Financial Planning in 2021.
Kirsty works closely with all our financial planners, researching and preparing reports for our clients.
Outside of work, you will find Kirsty enjoying the outdoors, walking her dog Sunny and spending time with her family and friends.

Jayne Duthie
Jayne is an experienced Financial Services Administrator who joined the team in February 2020, after moving to Brodie with her now Fiancé.
With over 4 years’ experience working in a small Financial Planning firm before she moved to Watson Wood, Jayne has also completed various examinations through our professional body, the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). She has recently graduated with an Honours Degree in Business Management and Financial Services with Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, and is now going back to the professional examinations to achieve the Diploma in Financial Planning.
Based mainly in our Elgin office, Jayne is now a Paraplanner after starting in the Administration Team.
Jayne loves spending time with her family and friends, and is a keen baker, if she can find the time between studying and wedding planning!

Carol Inkson
Carol joined the team in 2019 and has over 20 years’ experience as a Financial Services Administrator. She has passed several exams through our professional body, the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), over the years.
Based in our Elgin Office, Carol supports the Planners and the rest of the team preparing for meetings, liaising with clients and providers to ensure all paperwork and records are accurate and up to date.
Carol is married and lives in Elgin where she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She particularly enjoys helping out with the grandchildren and has recently joined a local gym in an attempt to keep up with them all!

Christina Robinson
Christina is our Office Manager and manages the Administration teams in Inverness & Elgin.
She joined Watson Wood as an Administrator in 2018, having graduated from the University for Highlands & Islands with an HND in Accounting. Christina is now embarking on the SVQ in Management at SCQF level 9, after successfully completing level 7.
She lives in Inverness with her partner and sprocker spaniel Mara.

Linda Ross
Linda Ross joined the firm as Compliance Officer/Administrator in December 2021, when Watson Wood acquired Maclean Financial Planning Ltd
Linda was previously a shareholder and Office Manager at Maclean Financial Planning Ltd having been instrumental in setting up the family business.
Prior to this, Linda was an administrator with Tenon Financial Services having joined them in 2007.
Linda and her family are keen animal lovers and spend their spare time with their various rescue pets.

Craig Maclean
Craig Maclean joined Watson Wood in December 2021 when we acquired Maclean Financial Planning Ltd.
Craig has spent his entire career in Banking and Financial Services since 1977.
He is a Fellow of both the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland, and was among the first tranche of Financial Advisors to be awarded the coveted Chartered Financial Planner status in 2005 and also holds Chartered Banker status.
Craig was previously Treasurer at Inverness Thistle FC and subsequently became one of the inaugural Directors of ICT following their formation in 1994. Although Craig resigned as a Director in 1999, he and his wife Irene continue to host the ICT boardroom at ICT home games.
He also likes a game of golf and by his own admission is probably the worst putter in the history of Inverness Golf Club.

Dawn Beney ACSI
Originally from Essex, Dawn finally settled in Nairn to raise her young family, after living and working in Hampshire and then Jersey.
Dawn has over 8 years’ experience in the financial services industry, previously working as an administrator and trainee stockbroker for a national stockbroking and wealth management firm.
Dawn is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and recently studied with them to achieve her Investment Advice Diploma; having already gained a Certificate in Financial Administration and Planning with the London Institute of Banking and Finance.

Shelley McMillan DipPFS
Shelley joined the firm in August 2022 as a Financial Planner and holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning through the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Born and brought up in Aviemore, she moved to Inverness in 2010. She has 17 years experience working in the banking and finance sector, most recently as a Wealth Manager for a large national firm.
Shelley feels getting to know her clients well is at the heart of creating the right financial plan.
Away from work Shelley is married with 2 young girls, they enjoy touring Scotland in their campervan and getting ourdoors.

Kelly Gammack
Kelly joined the firm in April 2023, having worked as a Financial Services Administrator with a national IFA firm for over 8 years.
Based in our Elgin Office, Kelly supports the team by liaising with clients and providers to ensure paperwork is processed and records are up to date.
Kelly is kept busy outside of work with her one year old daughter and labrador. She enjoys long walks with the family and socialising with friends.

Hannah Archibald
Hannah is an experienced Financial Services Administrator who joined the team in June 2023. She previously worked with a national IFA firm for over 10 years.
Based in our Elgin Office, Hannah supports the planners and administration team to ensure all paperwork and records are accurate and up to date.
Hannah lives in Elgin with her husband and young son. Away from work, Hannah enjoys going to fitness classes and loves a shopping trip.

Jason Florence
Jason joined Watson Wood as an Administrator in June 2023, having graduated from Abertay University with a degree in Accounting and Finance. He is keen to pursue a career in Financial Services and felt that joining the firm would allow him to gain valuable experience in the sector.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys playing rugby and walking his dogs.

Rosie MacLennan
Rosie started working in Financial Services in 2020 as an Administrator/Trainee Paraplanner with another Financial Planning firm. Whilst there, she achieved her Level 4 Diploma for Financial Advisers with the London Institute of Banking and Finance before moving to Aberdeen where she spent 2 years working as a Paraplanner.
Rosie joined Watson Wood as a Paraplanner in September 2023 after moving back to the area and is based in our Inverness Office.
Outside of work, Rosie enjoys baking, cross-stitching and going for long walks with her dogs, Jep and Mylo.
